We are looking for an energetic and flexible Sales Assistant to join our team, helping customers find the right solutions and breathing new life into their technology.
The Role: As a Sales Assistant, you are the first point of contact for our customers. You will be responsible for driving sales, processing repair intakes, and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming. This role operates on a zero-hour basis, offering flexibility, but requires a candidate who is available to work during our busiest times, specifically weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Service & Sales:
* Greet customers warmly and identify their needs (repairs, accessories, or devices).
* Achieve personal and team sales targets by recommending the right products and services.
* Handle customer enquiries in person and over the phone with professional etiquette.
* Process payments, handle cash, and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately.
* Store Operations:
* Ensure the shop floor is clean, tidy, and fully stocked at all times.
* Create attractive store displays and ensure pricing labels are correct and visible.
* Assist with inventory checks and restocking shelves.
* Adhere to all health, safety, and security procedures.
* Technical Intake (Training provided):
* Book in devices for repair, accurately recording the customer's issue and contact details.
* Communicate repair updates to customers clearly and efficiently.
* General Duties:
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Store Manager to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience: Minimum 1 year of Retail Sales or Customer Service experience required.
* Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and flexible shifts during the week.
* Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
* Organization: Ability to multitask and keep the work area organized in a fast-paced environment.
* Tech Savvy: A basic interest in technology (phones, tablets) is a plus, though full training will be provided.
* Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
