Job Description
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Energy Auditor to support utility customers and small businesses in identifying energy-saving opportunities. In this role, you’ll conduct walk-through assessments of commercial and residential properties, install basic energy-saving devices, and educate clients about rebate programs and energy efficiency strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct on-site energy assessments to identify electric and gas savings
2. Install efficiency products such as LED lighting, thermostats, and aerators
3. Advise property owners on rebates and technical solutions for HVAC, insulation, and lighting
4. Document findings, enter data, and support follow-up efforts with customers and internal teams
5. Promote program awareness through presentations and community engagement
6. Maintain a professional presence and ensure vehicle/equipment organization
Candidates should have one of the following:
1. Experience in heating and air conditioning system installation, sales, or service
2. Energy efficiency designations or certificates including:
* Advanced Home Energy Professional (HEP)
* Air sealing and building insulation experience
* Customer interview and communication skills to articulate findings and recommendations
1. 1-2 years of experience in marketing, community organizing, or related fields
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
* Strong interpersonal, interviewing, and communication skills
* Ability to handle diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Strong data entry skills and familiarity with tracking systems/databases
* Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter with good prioritization skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
