Are you an experienced administrator with leadership skills and a passion for data accuracy and operational excellence? Birmingham City Council is seeking a proactive and organised Team Leader to oversee our Asset Management Admin Team on a full-time, temporary basis.
Your new role
This is a pivotal role responsible for managing a small team of asset administrators, ensuring accurate data and record keeping across the directorate. You will provide high-quality support services to internal and external stakeholders, while driving improvements inpliance, performance, and service delivery.You’ll play a key role in ensuring that council assets are properly documented, maintained, and managed in line with relevant policies and legal regulations. Your leadership will help ensure consistent, efficient, and effective administrative support that meets the evolving needs of the business. Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, train, and support asset administrators, conduct performance reviews, and allocate tasks and projects
2. Deliver high-quality administrative services to internal and external customers
3. Ensure assets are correctly identified, tracked, and monitored according to established procedures
4. Operate and maintain administrative systems to support consistent service delivery, including preparing reports and correspondence
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for all council assets
6. Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness
7. Ensure timely handling of emails, phone calls, andplaints, logging all customer contacts in the Housing Management system
8. Manage contractor queries and resolve issues with a problem-solving approach
9. Analyse HHSRS actions from contractors and raise appropriate follow-up tasks or referrals
10. Interrogate the Land Registry to update asset records following property ownership changes
11. Uphold confidentiality and ensurepliance with Data Protection Act principles
12. Promote staff safety and security by adhering to relevant policies and reporting concerns appropriately

What you'll get in return
This is a full-time temporary position and offers a hybrid working arrangement. You will receive payment on a weekly basis and receive an hourly rate of £ per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
