Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading premium care home provider in the recruitment of a Dementia Manager for one of their flagship services located just outside Romford. This large, well-regarded nursing dementia home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with a strong passion for dementia care to join their leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a leadership role within a dementia care setting, with a proven track record of delivering high standards of care and team development. A dementia-specific qualification is highly desirable.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take the lead in commissioning a brand-new dementia suite within the home. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Dementia Manager to build a team from the ground up and shape a positive, person-centred culture within the service. You will provide strong leadership and guidance to care teams, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care is delivered to residents living with dementia in line with their Personal Care Needs Assessments.
Ensuring care is delivered in a way that supports a fulfilling, safe, and dignified lifestyle for all residents Overseeing the completion and regular updating of resident care plans in line with company policy and best practice Promoting a culture of excellence and continuously improving the standard of dementia care across the suite
The Candidate
Proven experience as a Dementia Manager or Dementia Specialist within a care home or similar setting is essential
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar leadership role, with a strong track record of managing dementia care services
A recognised qualification in Dementia Care (e.g. Dementia Care Mapping, Level 3/5 in Health & Social Care with dementia focus) is highly desirable
Strong knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks relevant to dementia care
Location
This home is situated just outside of Romford and is easily commutable from Upminster, Chadwell Heath, Hornchurch, Brentwood, Warley, Rainham, Dagenham, Barking, Ilford, Grays and South Ockendon.
