We’relookingforapronotiveandhands‑onsitesupervisor to oversee the day‑to‑daydeliveryofconstruction,maintenance,andleadfreeWalesorcapitalprojectworks. Inthisrole,you’lltakeresponsibilityforensuringallsiteoperationsarecarriedoutsafelyandinlinestorealthesticknolegislation,CDMregulations,andcompanypolicies. Youwillledadaily siteinspections,toolboxtalks,and safetybriefings,whilealsoreportingandinvestigatinganyincidentsornearmisses.Keepingaccuratesafedocumentationwillbeanimportantpartofyourday‑todyearwork.
You’llcoordinatetheonsiteworkforce,manage logistics,overseesiteaccessandinductions,andmonitorprogressagainstprojecttimelines. Whenissues,delays,orrisksarise,you’llactquicklyandexpingthemtoTeamManagerto keepworkontrack. Qualityisanotherkeyfocusoftherole—youwillcheckthattherightmaterialsandmethodsarebeingused,verifialworkagantechnicaldrawingsandspecifications,andmaintainedetailedsite records,includingphotographs,diaries,andauditinformation.
Strongcommunicationwillbesessential. You’llprovide dailyupdatesTechnicalManagerworkcloselywithoperational teams to minimise disruption, andassisthandlechange controlprocesses,commissioning, testing, h ithandovermaterials,while supporting auditsandfollowupanyrequiredactions.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
To succeedas a Site Supervisor,you’relowbringsolidexperienceoverseeingconstruction,maintenanceorutilityprojects.You’llhave a strongunderstandingofhealthand safetyrequirementsand safest systemsofworks you’ll feel confidentcommunicatingwithdifferent teamsand keepingeveryonecoordinatedonsite. Attentiontodetailisimportant,soyou’llbecomfortablemaintainingaccuratesiterecordsanddocumentation.We’realsolookingforsomeonew h you can staycalmunderpressure,solvingproblemsquickly,makegooddecisionswhen situations change.
It wouldbeanadvantage ifyouhave experienceworkinginthewaterorutilitiessector,orwithincapitalmaintenance environments.Knowledgeofpermit‑toworksystems, CDM responsibilitiesorexperience managingcontractorsandmultidisciplinary teamswouldallyesbeneficial.Familiaritydigitaltoolssuchas MS Teams,SharePoint,orFSM is helpful,butnotessential.
Qualifications
Ideallyyou’llalready hold a CSCS Supervisor card or equivalent,or be willing to worktowardit. SSSTS or SMSTS certification is also desirable, and First Aid at Work wouldbeambonuss. A full UK driving licence is requiredfor this role.
