We are looking for a passionate and compassionate Sports Coach who is eager to make a meaningful impact. You will deliver engaging, adaptable sports sessions that meet the diverse needs of students, helping them grow both physically and emotionally in a safe, supportive setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver dynamic, inclusive sports sessions tailored to students with SEND and SEMH needs
* Adapt activities to ensure every student can participate and succeed
* Create a positive, team-focused environment that builds confidence and resilience
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to align with Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Track student progress, provide feedback, and celebrate achievements
* Use sport to support emotional regulation, social development, and self-esteem
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students and provide consistent encouragement
* Maintain a safe environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety standards
Qualifications and Skills:
* Sports coaching qualification or a degree in Physical Education / Sports Science
* SEND or SEMH training (highly desirable)
* Experience working with children with SEND and/or SEMH (preferred)
* Ability to adapt coaching styles to meet diverse needs
* Strong communication skills with a patient, empathetic approach
* Solid understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
* Creative and engaging delivery style
