Distribution Assistant - Export
Location: 5 Queensway, Croydon, CR9 4DL
Contract: Permanent, 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm; some flexibility required; occasional weekends.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Distribution Assistant to support our export operations. This role combines core warehouse duties with export‑specific responsibilities, requiring strong IT skills, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. The role involves both independent work and collaboration with the export team and head office.

* Perform picking, packing, and preparation of goods for export.
* Ensure accurate labelling, documentation, and data entry for all shipments, including weights and dimensions.
* Communicate effectively with the export team and head office regarding export requests.
* Support bulk orders when the Team Leader is unavailable.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
* Follow all warehouse procedures and health & safety regulations.
* Complete mandatory Dangerous Goods Training and achieve the required certification.
* Report any issues or discrepancies promptly to supervisors and team leaders.
* Provide support in other areas of the distribution centre during quieter periods.
What You Will Bring To The Role
* Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution role is preferred.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, D365 and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
* Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams.
* Self‑motivated, organised, and enthusiastic with a flexible attitude and ability to work on own initiative.
* Physically able to lift, move, and handle goods safely.
* Must complete and pass Dangerous Goods Training before handling export shipments.
* Awareness of retail demands during busy periods and ability to work under pressure.
* Approachable with the ability to liaise comfortably and appropriately with all levels of the business.
