An exciting opportunity has arisen for two passionate NMPs to join our vibrant Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, serving the communities of Boston and Grantham. Launching in April 2024, this partnership combines the expertise of Turning Point, Framework, and Double Impact to deliver exceptional substance use treatment and recovery services across Lincolnshire.
At the heart of our mission is the ‘Recovery First’ model, which integrates lived experience and recovery into everything we do. By joining us, you’ll be part of a highly localized approach that addresses multiple issues faced by residents throughout Lincolnshire.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will:
* Conduct opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions and manage benzodiazepine reductions.
* Administer detoxification medications for alcohol and opiates, ensuring safe and effective care.
* Provide health care assessments and support clients through detoxification processes.
* Perform Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screenings and vaccinations.
* Collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.
* Attend local prescriber meetings and engage in continuous professional development.
You will receive comprehensive training and supervision from our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead, giving you the opportunity to shape service delivery and contribute to clinically excellent services.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or be a qualified Pharmacist with independent prescriber status.
* Have confidence in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications.
* Be an excellent communicator, highly organized, and capable of developing creative, flexible support packages tailored to individual needs.
* Possess a genuine interest in helping people, along with a deep level of empathy, understanding, and patience.
