About the Psychology Department:

About the Role:
* Teach Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5, with the possibility of contributing to PSHE lessons.
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics related to mental health and well-being.
* Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
* Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Psychology curriculum remains relevant and engaging.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to promote student well-being and mental health awareness.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Psychology education and mental health support.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or equivalent.
* Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Psychology.
* Demonstrates a passion for teaching Psychology and a commitment to student well-being.
* Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
* Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Psychology and relevant examination specifications.
* Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
