Job Overview:
The team at Teaching Personnel Birmingham are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate teacher of English on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be working within a positive and hard working team of staff, collaborating to drive standards and results.
The successful candidate will be eager to learn and help support the school, creating a positive and stimulating learning environment. The secondary school is based in the Chelmsley Wood area of Birmingham (B37.)
Details of the role:
- plan and deliver high quality English lessons, in line with the national curriculum
- plan and deliver lessons to a range of classes and year groups across KS3-KS5
- regularly assess pupils progress and development
- provide timely and informative feedback to all pupils to support them with their learning
Ideal applicant specification:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Bachelors degree in English Language/Literature
- Previous experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
- Strong behaviour management techniques and classroom presence
- Enhanced, child only DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one)
