The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at Assumption University seeks to hire one part-time adjunct instructor for the fall 2025 semester. The department needs to staff sections of Exercise Physiology and Exercise Physiology lab. Both sections are capped at 16 students. Class meetings run from August 25 to December 12, which includes the final exam week.
• BIO390.01 Exercise Physiology meets MWF 8:30-9:20 am
• BIO390L.01 Exercise Physiology Laboratory meets Th 8:30-11:30 am
Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department, to our students, and are provided with office space, email, voicemail, support for using our learning management system (Brightspace), and other resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters.
Requirements:
Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
Applicants should have a PhD in Biology or a related field. ABD graduate students with prior teaching experience will also be considered.
