I’m supporting a well‑resourced primary school in the Wakefield area who are looking to appoint an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant after the Easter break. About the Role
1. Supporting teaching and learning within a high‑quality Early Years classroom
2. Assisting with a blend of structured activities, child‑led play and continuous provision
3. Delivering early phonics, language development and prompt, nurturing support
4. Creating an engaging, stimulating and safe learning space
5. Supporting wider daily routines including outdoor learning, lunchtime supervision and end‑of‑day care
6. Working closely with teachers and colleagues to maintain excellent standards of EYFS provision
What We’re Looking For
7. Experience working with young children in an Early Years environment (essential)
8. A caring, consistent and professional approach
9. Strongmunication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
10. Someone who is proactive, organised and confident supporting a busy EYFS setting
11. A positive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting early childhood development
