Our Legal Counsel will…
Have aprimary focus on drafting and negotiating commercial agreementswith clients, suppliers, and partners across multiple jurisdictions.
Provideadvice on employment-related mattersacross the employee lifecycle (including hiring, performance management, employee relations, and terminations), with support from external counsel as needed.
Collaborate with company leadership, business leads, and the People Team tounderstand business goals, translate complex legal risks into practical and accessible guidance, andalign legal processeswith company strategy and growth.
Continuallyimprove legal operations and internal frameworksto support new products, services, and markets while mitigating legal and compliance risks.
Partner withexternal counselto manage specialized, cross-border, or complex legal issues.
Have the opportunity todevelop expertise in new areas of law, with appropriate training and mentorship, as the company grows and evolves.
A great candidate will have…
3+ years of post-qualification experience(UK or common law) gained in-house or in private practice (ideally from a large international firm or company with exposure to cross-border transactions).
Extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally in a technology or services environment.
Employment law experience, particularly with UK employment matters (e.g., unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE, or whistleblowing) and familiarity with key global jurisdictions (especially EMEA, APAC, and the Americas).
Acommercial mindsetand ability to balance legal risk with practical business needs.
Strongproject management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Cultural awareness and the ability tonavigate cross-border legal and operational issueswith sensitivity and adaptability.
Fluency in legal-level English, both written and spoken, as well as anuncanny ability to translate convoluted legalese into day to day languagethat supports understanding and decision-making.
