Overview
Senior/Principal Air Quality Consultant role at Arup. Based in one of our UK offices (London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle or Leeds). The Air Quality team operates as a national practice with resources and projects shared across UK offices.
Responsibilities
* Lead a wide range of air quality projects as part of a multidisciplinary team or as standalone projects.
* Provide high quality technical consultancy and advisory support to clients.
* Lead the delivery of projects on time and to budget.
* Lead technical air quality assessments and reports and support site visits where necessary.
* Support business development and work-winning activities.
* Provide technical and pastoral support to junior members of the team.
Qualifications
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject.
* Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and Institute of Environmental Science (IES). Chartered status with IAQM/IES or actively working towards it is desirable.
* Demonstrable track record of leading and managing a wide range of air quality projects in terms of scale and sector.
* Highly competent using air quality dispersion software (e.g. ADMS, AERMOD) with pre- and post-processing analysis. Proficient in GIS and data visualisation tools (OpenAir, PowerBI). Python desirable; experience undertaking carbon assessments is a plus.
* Full UK/EU driving licence.
