The Role
The Journey Administrator will guarantee the high-quality outputs detailing current Bus Services in Wales from the TfW bus data repository for export to TfW and UK wide stakeholders, and TfW customer information services such as Traveline Cymru, Traws Cymru and any others.
Role responsibilities
* Process and review any schedule, fares, disruptions and patronage data from bus operators and Local Authorities across Wales, utilising scheduling systems to ensure changes are acted upon, and relevant stakeholders notified.
* Proactively liaise with and assist Local Authorities and Operators to deliver high quality inputs to the central repository - and where needed act as an agent to create these inputs - using the scheduling systems provided, to allow for the export of high quality and accurate outputs to journey information services.
* Generate high quality reporting, using the provided IT systems, for distribution to the journey services. To operate the Traveline Cymru export process as required, by following the export manual process, for generation of outputs for distribution to information services.
* Compile and provide required custom datasets to necessary recipients as requested, such as TfW stakeholders and Local Authorities, via email, file transfer or SFTP, to keep Local Authority and customer journey information services updated until the central repository is completed.

* The ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
* The ability to analyse large sets of information, and to spot errors and inconsistencies, and perform quality checks.
* The ability to follow a complex process consistently and methodically.
* The ability to interpret and effectively communicate bus information to colleagues, stakeholders, and information providers.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
