Our client is a forward-thinking Advisory firm specialising in originating, structuring, and executing transactions across multiple sectors. We are seeking a Deal Originator to join their growing team – someone who combines commercial intuition with an analytical and tech-savvy mindset. The role focuses on sourcing, qualifying, and nurturing acquisition and investment opportunities using a mix of relationship-led and technology-enabled strategies.
You’ll use data science, AI-driven tools, and digital research platforms to identify trends, evaluate targets, and create a robust pipeline of quality deals. This is a pivotal role that blends business development, data insight, and strategic origination.
Key Responsibilities
 * Proactively source new acquisition and investment opportunities using a mix of relationship building, data-led prospecting, and AI-enabled research tools.
 * Analyse market data, sector trends, and financial metrics to identify attractive targets and sectors.
 * Leverage CRM and automation platforms to track, score, and prioritise opportunities.
 * Develop and maintain relationships with founders, shareholders, intermediaries, and advisors.
 * Use advanced analytics or AI tools (e.g., predictive models, web scraping, NLP) to enhance lead generation and deal qualification.
 * Collaborate with internal M&A teams on valuation, due diligence, and transaction execution.
 * Prepare market insight reports, origination strategies, and pitch materials.
 * Stay ahead of emerging technology and data science tools that can enhance origination performance.
About You
 * Proven deal origination experience across professional services i.e. M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Deal Origination.
 * Strong understanding of data analytics, AI, and technology platforms used in deal sourcing (e.g., Crunchbase, PitchBook, Dealroom, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, etc.).
 * Skilled at using data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and CRM systems.
 * Commercially astute with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
 * Comfortable interpreting and working with large datasets, web scraping, or machine learning models for market intelligence.
 * Entrepreneurial mindset – curious, persistent, and driven by results.
 * Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
