HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will possess technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and preferably some IT skills. Communication skills should be considerate and kind, especially when interacting with residents and co-workers.
The role involves ensuring our residents live in a well-maintained environment through proactive inspections and regular maintenance. Responsibilities include conducting audits, updating records, and performing repairs such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing window timber, or decorating. Above all, kindness and consideration are paramount.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Candidates should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the procedures for reporting concerns. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and seek advice or escalate concerns when necessary.
