Overview
As a Home Care Worker, you'll support people of all ages with personal care, medication and meal preparation, household tasks and daily routines, and encouragement of independence and companionship. With 6 months experience we also offer opportunities to work in Complex Care, Children's Support, and Mental Health Support. Onboarding includes a Candidate Assessment Programme (CAP) to build the necessary skills and confidence.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care (washing, dressing, continence support).
* Assist with medication and meal preparation.
* Support household tasks and daily routines; encourage independence and companionship.
* For complex care, support individuals with conditions such as spinal injuries, neurological disorders, and respiratory needs; training includes tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, postural support, and more.
* Support children and young people with complex needs through personal care, emotional support, and daily assistance.
* Offer practical and emotional support in mental health scenarios to help manage routines, reduce isolation, and build confidence.
Qualifications and Requirements
* At least 18 years old.
* Willing to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends.
* Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.
* For Complex Care, Children’s or Mental Health duties, at least 6 months of hands-on UK care experience.
