The Role
I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding freight forwarding company seeking an experienced Multimodal Freight Forwarder for their Dover office. You will manage end-to-end shipments across air, road, and sea/ocean, taking full ownership from booking through to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing import and export shipments across air, road, and sea/ocean
* Handling full freight and customs documentation where required
* Liaising with hauliers, shipping lines, airlines, ports, and overseas agents
* Providing quotations and managing shipment costs
* Maintaining high levels of customer service and communication
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple UK sites
Requirements
* Proven experience in multimodal freight forwarding
* Strong knowledge of UK import and export procedures
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communication skills and commercial awareness
* Experience using freight management systems such as CargoWise is advantageous
