Your new role
As an Information and Advice Worker, you’ll be the first point of contact for individuals seeking support with amodation-related issues. You’ll deliver brief interventions through a variety of channels including drop-in hubs, virtual sessions, phone, email, and video calls. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting initial assessments and providing short-term advice
2. Supporting individuals with housing, budgeting, benefits, and signposting to relevant services
3. Coordinating support plans and referring to longer-term services where needed
4. Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service development
5. Promoting the service within themunity and liaising with external agencies
6. Supporting reporting and oue tracking for servicemissioners
This is a mobile role with an office base and occasional home working available by agreement.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
7. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
8. Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or relevant personal experience
9. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills
10. The ability to work independently and as part of a team
11. A trauma-informed and psychologically aware approach to support
12. Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
13. A flexible, empathetic, and proactive mindset
An NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in a social care field is desirable but not essential.
