They are currently seeking amunity Safety Enforcement Officer to join their Environmental Services team and support the delivery of key enforcement and neighbourhood safety functions.

As amunity Safety Enforcement Officer, you will be a visible and reassuring presence across the district, patrolling public spaces and tackling environmental crime and anti-social behaviour. Your responsibilities will include investigating offences such as fly-tipping, dog fouling, littering, noiseplaints, and abandoned vehicles. You will issue fixed penalty notices, conduct interviews under PACE, prepare prosecution files, and act as a professional witness in court when required.You will also:
1. Liaise with local police andmunity safety partners on targeted patrols and initiatives
2. Support licensing and enforcement related to dog control and animal welfare
3. Maintain accurate records and contribute to data analysis and intelligence sharing
4. Engage with residents to encourage reporting of anti-social behaviour and provide feedback on actions taken
5. Supportmunity events and public initiatives as required
This is a uniformed role requiring flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends on a rota basis.What you'll need to succeed
6. Minimum of 3 GCSEs (including Maths and English) or equivalent vocational qualifications
7. Experience in a regulatory or enforcement role, ideally within a local authority or similar setting
8. Strongmunication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce legal documentation
9. Calm, assertive approach in confrontational situations
10. Full, clean driving licence and ability to undertake regular foot patrols
11. Knowledge of relevant legislation ( PACE, RIPA, CPIA) are desirable.
12. A further qualification in policing, law, or regulatorypliance is advantageous.
