We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director to join our team. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for establishing a book of new clients and renewal portfolio, managing and providing a quality service, and meeting client demands and needs to achieve an optimum profitable renewal retention rate and growth. How you'll make an impact
* Manage client/prospect/introducer relationships and grow the book/existing accounts, providing the most appropriate insurance and risk management solutions
* Negotiate with insurers to obtain terms for clients that accurately and effectively match customer requirements
* Manage your workload to effectively service client relationships and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines
* Ensure client information and sales plans are kept up to date
* Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance
* Establish and manage a sales pipeline of potential clients
* Analyze and interpret sales data to identify unexpected patterns and trends
* Proactively seek out commercial opportunities and partnerships
* Promote and sell additional applications and services to clients
* Investigate and discover new sources of profitable business for the Operating Division and Group, including cross-selling
* Work closely with Account Handlers and Brokers to negotiate terms and conditions of placements
* Handle internal and external queries from colleagues or underwriters
* Ensure premiums are paid in accordance with credit control requirements
* Follow internal policies and procedures, complying with laws, rules, regulations, and company values, focusing on putting clients at the heart of our business
About You
Qualifications
Cert CII/ Dip CII/ Advanced Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications) desirable. Educated to degree standard or equivalent is desirable.
Technical Knowledge
Good knowledge of general insurance products, services, and classes of insurance, including legal principles and risk practices within your role.
Experience
Previous demonstrable experience in an Account Executive or Broker role, comfortable working to targets. Tactical negotiation and influencing experience with stakeholders. Proven rapport-building skills. Ability to prioritize risks and manage workflow. Knowledge of client markets and insurance networks. Ability to quickly interpret information for growth opportunities.
