Hays are working with a financial services organisation based in Cardiff / Newport to recruit for a permanent Business Analyst in the IT business change team. The role offers flexible hybrid working a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 +petitive benefits including 28 days holiday + BH and 10% employer pension contribution. You’ll be involved inplex data migration & finance system projects and will need experience in this space. Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the link between business and technical teams, translating needs into functional specifications.
2. Gather, document, and prioritise requirements; analyse processes and systems for improvements.
3. Support multiple projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and risk mitigation.
4. Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to design, implement, and validate solutions within budget and time constraints.
5. Promote continuous improvement by adopting best practices and emerging technologies.
6. Lead initiatives to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies for greater efficiency.
7. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations; maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Experience required
8. Experience with technical projects and data migration.
9. Strong understanding of finance systems and processes.
10. Proven background in financial services in a similar role.
11. Skilled in managing senior stakeholders, including C-suite.
12. Proficient in MS Office tools (Visio, Word, Excel).
13. Excellent stakeholder engagement andmunication skills.
14. Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
15. Familiarity with delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
16. Able to adaptmunication for different audiences.
