Sen / SEND Tutor, Worcestershire — Targeted Provision
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Worcestershire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND, and other needs such as SEMH. We support children and young people with MLD and SLD. We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Worcestershire. At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists throughout every placement.
This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.
The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support students referred by local authorities and schools, addressing educational and social-emotional needs
* Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet individual needs and progress educational and social-emotional goals
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and understanding
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, even for remote/online work

Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments; contract for service; paid via PAYE
* We do not guarantee a fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
