Pebbles Care has an exciting opportunity for you to collaborate with our established team and become an integral part of our children's lives. Your role may vary each working day across a small cluster of homes, with various shift patterns to support holiday or training cover. Our unique cluster roles allow you to enhance your development and enrich your experience by offering varied work and the opportunity to work across diverse teams.
Your responsibilities
* Daily home life tasks, such as driving our children to and from school, appointments, and visits (a full UK manual driving license is essential).
* Teach valuable life skills, including meal preparation and household chores.
* Create lasting memories through engaging activities, outings, and holidays.
* Work as part of a cluster of homes, providing support tailored to the young person's needs, either one-to-one or two-to-one.
Role details
* Full-time as a dedicated team member, averaging 56.4 hours per week, including sleep hours.
* Shift pattern across multiple locations within a short journey of each other, collaborating with your team.
* Induction and shadow shifts on day one to learn the Pebbles Way and our therapeutic care model, supported by your manager and the Learning and Development team.
What we offer you
* Starting salary of £34,719.00 to £36,248.00 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
* Rota pattern: one day on (24 hours, including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours). Salary based on this set pattern; changes may occur with advance notice.
* Average weekly hours (including sleepovers): 56.4. Rota depends on home requirements within the cluster.
* 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (pro-rata for part-time contracts).
* Learning and Development support for 100% funding of Level 3 SVQ / NVQ in Residential Child Care.

* Proficient IT skills and experience with Microsoft packages.
Desirable qualities
* Up to 12 months experience with children or young adults (more than 12 months may qualify for higher salaries).
* Working towards, or desire to obtain, SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma relevant to Children and Young People’s Residential workforce (funding may be available).
* Familiar with Codes of Practice from regulatory bodies.
* Existing PVG / DBS certificate.
