Location: HMP Buckley, Rochdale, Lancashire
Working Hours: 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday (4-day week, no Friday working)
Salary: GBP25k plus - Permanent position with great benefits including birthday off after the first year of service, plus 4 loyalty days after 5 years of service. Annual leave equivalent to 5 weeks holidays plus bank holidays per year, ongoing training, professional development, and mentoring opportunities.

The Role
As an instructor, you will guide and test learners through Forklift certifications, sharing your knowledge and preparing them for work in the sector. Your support helps learners build confidence and open doors to future employment, making a tangible difference in their lives and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality FLT courses to groups of three learners, instructing and testing them to RTITB standards.
2. Ensure that all learner records are accurate and maintained in line with policies and procedures, GDPR, and contractual requirements.
3. Identify suitable learners through excellent communication skills and relationship building with learners and prison staff.
4. Help overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners' needs.
5. Ensure all learners complete timely in line with our clients' delivery model and programme specification.
6. Send the paperwork for each completed course to Head Office each week.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Hold your RTITB Instructors Certificate.
2. Good level of IT skills.
3. Flexibility to work at multiple locations.
4. Full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle, which is insured for business use.
