This role supports the Permit to Work Manager in ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as company and client policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the electronic Construction Work Permit System, ensuring safe and coordinated execution of works on site. Key Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of Permit to Work arrangements. Assist in daily operations, ensuring all documentation (Method Statements, Risk Assessments, etc.) is reviewed and verified. Maintain accurate compliance documentation for audits and KPI tracking. Coordinate site scheduling and work activities. Build strong relationships with SZC Construction, Safety, and Technical Teams. Contribute to performance reports and KPI indicators. Liaise with contractors to ensure competent Permit Acceptors are identified and trained. Ensure structured training programmes are compliant and up to date. Audit contractor compliance and provide corrective actions. Maintain legislative registers and inspection records. Support operational responsibilities across Mechanical, Electrical, Radiography, and Buried Services coordination. What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Strong organisational, auditing, and presentation skills. Practical experience with Electronic Permit to Work Systems or Safe Systems of Work. In-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations, especially CDM 2015. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and proactively. Experience in electrical or mechanical industry best practices. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with SZC systems: Teamcenter, Fieldview, Insight. Desirable Experience managing Civils, Mechanical & Electrical installations. Electrical/Mechanical technical knowledge. Why Join Us?
