Role Overview The school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Media Technician to support the delivery of media, film and digital production activities across the school. The successful candidate will help maintain equipment, support practical lessons and assist students with media production projects. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for digital media who enjoys working in an educational environment. Key Responsibilities • Preparing and maintaining media equipment for lessons and projects • Supporting teachers during practical media and film production sessions • Assisting students with video, audio and digital editing tasks • Managing cameras, lighting equipment and audio recording devices • Ensuring media equipment is stored safely and maintained properly • Supporting the editing and production of school media projects • Assisting with filming school performances, events and productions • Managing digital media storage and organisation systems • Supporting students in developing technical production skills • Troubleshooting technical issues with media equipment or software • Maintaining media studios and ensuring they remain organised and safe • Supporting staff with audiovisual requirements for school events The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of media equipment and production software. They will be enthusiastic about supporting students’ creative development and comfortable working in a practical, fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail will be essential for managing equipment and supporting multiple projects.
