CT Radiographer (Band 6 – £39,959 – £48,117) – Permanent.
Overview
We are recruiting a CT Radiographer for a newly developed £10m Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). The role involves conducting a wide range of CT scans on diverse patient types, both autonomously and as part of a multi‑professional team, ensuring compliance with professional, departmental and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct CT scans across a broad spectrum of patient types—including patients who may be unconscious, uncooperative, incapacitated, or have physical/mental disabilities.
* Provide empathy, emotional support and appropriate information to patients and relatives, particularly those who are bereaved, terminally ill, injured, or under substance use/abuse.
* Participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota and perform lone working in specific specialties as required.
* Ensure patient safety and appropriate quality assurance throughout imaging procedures.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve patient pathways and diagnostic care.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferable to have existing CT Radiographer experience; external candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to perform CT scans in a clinical environment and knowledge of relevant professional and legal standards.
