About The Role:
This role is a pivotal position within our Creative Industries team, providing innovative and engaging teaching, learning and assessment to ensure provision.
About you:
As aFashion and Textiles Lecturer you will beresponsible for teaching and mentoring students in fashion and textile design and construct, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessing student work. You will also contribute to the department's research profile and engage with industry professionals
The responsibilities of this role will include:
* Teaching and Mentoring:Delivering lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, and studio work in areas of expertise.
* Curriculum Development:Participating in the development and preparation of teaching materials and course development.
* Assessment:Setting, marking, and providing feedback on student work, including examinations and projects.
* Student Support:Providing tutorial and personal support for students, including supervising projects and placements
* Research and Professional Development: Developing and maintainingexpertise in subject area, participating in staff development initiatives, and contributing to the department's research profile
* Administrative Tasks:Undertaking administrative duties such as year tutor, module coordination, student selection, and assessment organization.
* Industry Engagement:Contributing to student recruitment and placement, and working with industry professionals to develop curriculum and enhance learning
