AI and Data Strategist
Grade: Senior Consultant
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI and Data Strategy Senior Consultant to help shape and deliver enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives for clients across multiple industry sectors. This role requires a strategic business technologist who can operate as part of a team to translate AI, data and automation capabilities into tangible business value while designing the organisational frameworks needed to become an AI-first enterprise.
Your client impact
1. Help define comprehensive AI, data and automation strategies tailored to client organisations across consumer products, retail, health, energy, and life sciences sectors
2. Support in-depth analysis of industry-specific value chain and identify a portfolio of high impact AI, data and automation use cases, to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and competitive differentiation
3. Help assess organisational AI and data landscape maturity and create tailored roadmaps for transformation in areas such as operating models, organisational structure and capabilities required to deliver the strategy
4. Contribute to the development of high-level business and technology architectures and operating models that enable scalable AI deployment (encompassing both data and automation)
5. Support EY project leadership in cross-functional workshops and design sessions with senior stakeholders as they seek to align diverse stakeholder groups around a unified AI vision
6. Help create content to articulate complex AI/agentic concepts and recommendations to senior leadership audiences
7. Conduct analysis that inputs to the prioritisation of AI initiatives based on strategic value, feasibility, and organisational readiness
8. Contribute to solution development of high impact bid responses and proposal for AI led transformation
Essential Qualifications
9. STEM degree or an equivalent certification in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
Essential Criteria
10. Experience of contributing to enterprise-level AI strategies for complex or multinational organisations
11. Familiarity with the design of operating models and organisational structures for data and AI functions
12. Familiarity and understanding of AI/ML technologies, including generative AI, predictive analytics, NLP, data and Intelligent Automation
13. Familiarity of modern data governance frameworks and architectures, cloud platforms, and AI infrastructureincluding DAMA
14. Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, model risk management, and regulatory requirements
Soft Skills
15. Communication, storytelling and presentation skills
16. Experience of facilitation and workshop design capabilities including ability to influence senior stakeholders
17. Experience of interacting and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (data scientists, engineers, business strategists)
18. Continuous learning mindset to stay ahead of rapidly evolving AI landscape and strategies for deployment
19. Strategic thinking with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and explain how they drive business value
Preferred Criteria
20. Exposure to at least one of the following domains and/or sectors:

22. Domain: Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial
23. Experience with Big 4 consulting methodologies and framework
