Five Education is working with a specialist SEND school that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
The school supports pupils from Year 1 through to Year 11 with a range of complex medical needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH). Staff work closely together to provide a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
This role would suit someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
The Role
Supporting pupils aged Year 1 - Year 11 with complex needs and SEMH
Assisting the class teacher with adapted lessons and learning activities
Providing 1:1 and small group support to help pupils engage with learning
Supporting students with emotional regulation and behaviour
Assisting with personal care and medical needs where required
Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
Experience with PMLD or SEMH is highly desirable
Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations
A proactive team player who works well with teaching and support staff
Passionate about helping young people build confidence and achieve their potential
*If you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
