Salary: £90-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to support students across the region who faces barriers to learning due to social, emotional, or mental health challenges. You'll work closely with class teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to create a nurturing and structured environment that encourages growth and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students' individual needs
Foster positive relationships and model appropriate behaviours
Assist with de-escalation and behaviour management strategies
Support classroom activities, both academic and therapeutic
Contribute to EHCP reviews and behaviour support plansAbout You:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (school or alternative setting preferred)
Calm, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork
A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or psychology is a plus
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Ready to make an impact?
