We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Owner / specialist to lead the strategy, governance, and performance of an enterprise ServiceNow platform for a global insurance organisation. This will be an initial 6 month contract (outside IR35). Ideally hybrid working based near Redhill, Surrey/Sussex border (could possibly be remote if required).
You will act as the platform design authority, ensuring ServiceNow remains secure, scalable, and aligned with business and IT strategy. This role will drive platform governance, oversee enhancements, and ensure the organisation maximises value from ServiceNow.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the ServiceNow platform roadmap aligned to business priorities.
* Act as design authority for platform configuration, development, and governance.
* Ensure platform stability, performance, and availability.
* Oversee integrations, upgrades, and environment management (Dev/Test/Prod).
* Manage demand intake, prioritisation, and release planning.
* Ensure security, compliance, and access governance across the platform.
* Manage ServiceNow licensing, vendor relationships, and platform costs.
* Drive automation, standardisation, and platform adoption across the organisation.
Experience Required
* Strong experience managing or governing an enterprise ServiceNow platform.
* 3+ years platform ownership experience
* Solid understanding of ITSM and ITIL frameworks.
* Experience working in complex IT environments.
* Knowledge of ServiceNow licensing and platform governance.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and decision-making capability.
* Ideally possess ServiceNow certifications
