Role definition: My Client are looking for someone to join their Operations Team to be a Continuous Improvement Practitioner. You will help implement and drive the business to improve all operational outputs, the role will have a broad scope to that can impact on the P&L, NPI and Customer satisfaction. Key areas of responsibility, duties and the deliverables expected: · Work with the Site management to install and maintain excellence standards. · Train Direct and indirect personal on basic lean principle’s (5s, 8 wastes ect). · Work with site managers to improve material flow. · Work with the planning department to identify and improve any capacity concerns across the business. · Work with departments to identify and improve supply chains concerns, Analyse, and improve material flow. · Supporting Quality and Manufacturing in reducing our Quality escapes and identifying engineering improvements using the Firewall data. · Produce action plans for improvements with potential cost savings and update weekly on performance General Responsibilities & duties · To ensure that policies and procedures are maintained and followed by team members. · Meeting Health and Safety standards supporting others to do the same. · Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out the same or similar tasks. · Any other reasonable duties required Personal Attributes for the role Excellent communication skills Ability to remain calm under pressure. Six Sigma Yellow Belt / Lean practitioner trained. Internal or Lead Auditor trained. Six sigma trained (Green or Black Belt) Good working knowledge of Plastic injection moulding and paint processes Experience Essential Desirable Plastics manufacturing experience (eg Injection moulding, or paint, or assembly) process background - Minimum 3 years’ experience Plastics manufacturing background - 5 years plus experience Appropriate automotive 1 st tier experience Hours are 08:00 – 17:00 Mon-Thu/Fri 08:00 – 14:00 Holidays are 33 days per year inc BH
