Commissioning Technician (EC&I) Reports to: Commissioning Manager Main Purpose: The Commissioning Technician is responsible for developing and implementing site commissioning arrangements across all aspects of site activities, including Installation, Commissioning, and Handover, in support of the overall project lifecycle. This role ensures that all activities for the MENSA project are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, as directed by the Commissioning Manager (or delegate), and that any technical or safety issues are promptly reported to the supervisor. Additionally, the Commissioning Technician will undertake specific tasks within the Commissioning function as required, including installation activities where necessary. Key Responsibilities: Adhere to the agreed Commissioning Quality Management System, ensuring correct application of procedures, codes and standards to commissioning activities. Provide functional inputs to Commissioning Deliverables. Accurately report job status to the Commissioning Manager (or delegate). Input Commissioning Documentation, including Test Documentation and Commissioning Reservations. Follow Safe Systems of Work (SSoWs) to undertake tasks safely and report any related concerns. Execute commissioning tests according to schedule. Ensure satisfactory completion of all commissioning execution records and results, including control of all raw data associated with tests carried out. Contribute to the compilation and review of Commissioning LTQR packages. Support safe site operations, including adherence to ESH focus cards. Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Recognised Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering or construction discipline. IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Managing Safely, or CCNSG Safety Passport certification. Electrical commissioning experience. CSCS affiliated card. Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Experience within the nuclear industry. Previous site commissioning experience in a nuclear environment. Knowledge of 18th Edition IEE Regulations (Electrical). Level 3 qualification in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. Familiarity with Loop Testing. Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings. Additional Information: All candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance – initial start with BPSS is acceptable provided SC clearance is in progress. Applicants must have lived and worked in the UK for the last five years. Full-time, site-based role with a shift pattern of 11 shifts on, 3 shifts off. This role will commence on day shifts but is likely to transition to night shifts. Workers must hold a valid CSCS/ECS card prior to commencement.
