Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. This includes performing and/or leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, design and development of plans and specifications, observation and inspection, and preparing related reports. Review drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track project progress and budgets, and recommend changes. Research and resolve design and construction issues. Analyze laboratory or field data for reports. Apply sound engineering principles and communicate complex issues effectively to clients and project teams. Services may span sectors such as public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Follow safety rules, participate in pre-task planning, and report safety concerns.
2. Monitor and improve project quality standards.
3. Ensure consistent quality in project and proposal delivery.
4. Manage detailed phases of moderate complexity projects.
5. Perform various projects or segments independently.
6. Plan, schedule, and coordinate project work.
7. Collaborate with senior project managers on larger projects.
8. Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations.
9. Prepare proposals and reports of varying complexity.
10. Conduct quality control reviews of proposals.
11. Evaluate laboratory and field data for reports.
12. Serve as a technical adviser to junior team members.
13. Communicate with clients and project teams regarding scope, progress, and findings.
14. Write and prepare engineering reports.
15. Participate in marketing and business development.
16. Supervise engineering staff.
17. Work under supervision of a Project Reviewer.
18. Begin mentoring and certification processes for Project Reviewer.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* 5-8 years of experience.
* Master's degree preferred.
* Valid driver's license with acceptable record.
* Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
Salary is expected to be in the lower half of the range, depending on experience. The salary range is from $91,500 to $141,900, adjusted based on location and qualifications.
