Job Description
My client, based in Sheffield (South Yorkshire) is an ambitious Manufacturing/Engineering SME, t/o currently c £15m with an expanding Blue Chip client base.
The MD is keen to attract a Fractional FD with strong Manufacturing sector experience to operate as his "finance business partner" to support the company's profitable growth strategy.
This will be a permanent role from Day 1 on a 2-3 day/week basis (which may increase over time in line with the ongoing growth of the business), so would for example suit a Portfolio/Fractional FD who perhaps already has another part-time business engagement.
Reporting directly to the MD, the brief will include:

* Working closely with the MD and other Board members to manage the business and ensure its sustainable profitable growth.

* Head up and develop a small cohesive Finance team, including an experienced full-time AAT qualified accountant to oversee the consistent delivery of accurate and timely financial/management/statutory accounts.
\t
* Develop bottom-up Budgets and regular Forecasts.
\t
* Work closely with the Production Director to develop Manufacturing KPI's to maintain a keen focus on Factory efficiencies and Stock inventory levels.
\t
* Review Client Contracts and support new business Tenders.
\t
* Manage all key professional stakeholder relationships - Bank, Funders, Auditors etc.
As stated, the successful candidate will be a qualified accountant operating either as a Fractional FD (or someone seeking a part-time Perm role) with strong Manufacturing sector experience who is able to commit 2-3 days/week ongoing with potential to possibly increase going forward.
The salary indicator will be pro rata c £100k + Bonus/Benefits.
