We are seeking dynamic and experienced veterinary leaders to join our team as a Regional Clinical Improvement & Performance Lead. These pivotal roles are responsible for providing clinical coaching, mentoring, operational support, and clinical improvement and performance support to our veterinary practices across the regions. You will work closely with practice teams, business leaders, and support functions to ensure high-quality veterinary care while driving clinical and commercial success.

The Regional Clinical Performance Lead (RCPL) is responsible for driving clinical excellence and operational consistency across a region, reporting to and supported by the Regional Veterinary Director. This internal opportunity supports the implementation of IVC Evidensia’s clinical performance strategy, ensuring measurable improvements in clinical and patient outcomes, client satisfaction, and business performance. The role is ideal for experienced clinicians seeking to expand their clinical leadership impact within IVC and will be heavily focused across multiple Practices within each Region. Preparedness to travel is required as this role will be Practice-facing.


Interview Format and Dates

The interview process for this role will take place as an on-site assessment centre, scheduled to run over the course of a full day. This is expected to occur on Thursday, 2nd October, and Friday, 3rd October 2025. Please note that, unfortunately, we are only able to proceed with candidates who are available on these dates.


Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

* Implement and monitor the Clinical Improvement and Performance Management Model and Clinical quadrant of the Balanced Scorecard across practices.
* Accountable to your Regional Veterinary Director, provide high levels of support to Practice leadership teams and Area Directors to lead improvement in clinical KPI’s.
* Identify and address opportunities to reduce clinical care gaps using data-driven insights, working closely with Practice teams to achieve this.
* Act as a clinical liaison between central functions and regional teams, drawing on their support and offering your support when required.
* Champion continuous improvement and clinical capability development by supporting, mentoring and coaching clinical leadership teams.
* Ensure adherence to RCVS Practice Standards and internal governance frameworks.
* Be aware of and implement wider company clinical initiatives.
* Look for opportunities to further improve Practice performance beyond the Clinical agenda and communicate these appropriately.
* Lead the regional implementation of the Clinical Improvement & Performance Management Model, including diagnostics, procedures and surgical case management.
* Promote efficient use of Clinician time through appropriate diary management to balance front of house and back of house activities.
* Identify patient care gaps and support Practice teams in delivering More Patients, More Complete Care to improve clinical outcomes and deliver health and welfare benefits to our patients.
* Monitor and support the delivery of clinical KPIs, mentoring Area Directors and Practice Teams to embed a culture of clinical improvement, performance and accountability.
* Identify and address clinical performance gaps using data-driven insights to guide interventions.
* Identify and promote unique or niche clinical offerings that may benefit patients across the wider IVC estate.
* Work with Practice teams and local leadership to apply tools and techniques to improve patient outcomes and clinical performance, including ongoing coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer and interventions.
* Demonstrate high-level communication capability and the ability to build trust quickly, with regular presence across Practices in the Region.
* Support leadership clarity initiatives by helping define and align clinical leadership roles within practices.
* Collaborate with the Head of Clinical Performance and Development to deliver coaching, mentoring and wider training initiatives for Practice teams.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of CPD and clinical training resources plans within the Practice setting, formulating with Clinical Leaders a clinical development plan targeted at enhancing performance and capability.
* Ensure practices adhere to RCVS Practice Standards and IVC Evidensia’s clinical governance framework.
* Support audit processes and the implementation of evidence-based clinical ways of working.


Experience/Qualifications

Essential:

* Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) or Registered Veterinary Nurse with significant clinical and leadership experience.
* Proven leadership experience within a multi-site veterinary or healthcare setting.
* Strong understanding of veterinary practice operations, including clinical and financial metrics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire veterinary teams.
* Ability to balance clinical excellence with commercial acumen, ensuring both patient care and business success.
* Experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing veterinary professionals.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Willingness and ability to travel across the region as required.

Desirable:

* Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)
* Postgraduate qualification in leadership, management, or a relevant clinical discipline (e.g., CertAVP, MBA, or PGCert in Veterinary Business).
* Experience working within a corporate veterinary group or large practice network.
