Maternity Administration Assistant Band 2
Provide administrative support to the community midwifery team, supporting care to woman and babies in support of the midwife, working as part of a multidisciplinary team and reporting back to midwifery staff.
Maternity Administration Assistant will provide and coordinate all clerical and administrative duties, supporting the provision of an efficient and effective service. Contribute to effective communication links between the acute and community midwifery services, GP Practices and any other organisation who requires information.
Main duties of the job
Maintain accurate written and electronic information systems, supporting accurate and timely data input onto IT systems. Participate in planning, implementation and delivery of the service. Assist with team meeting planning, admin support as and when required.
Carry out coordination and support the delivery of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care including making and sending out appointments, scanning, tracking and archiving of records, ordering and organising of stock, ensuring maintenance of equipment by arranging servicing/repair, supporting team leaders in busy periods as well as other general administrative duties. Support in Data quality reports process and action as required.

Qualifications
* GCSE (Grade A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths
* NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
* Previous experience of working in an office environment
* Experience of working in a team
* NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
Knowledge
* Higher level Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office systems and the internet
* Understanding of confidentiality issues/data protection
* Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to provide and receive information which may be complicated
