Purpose
The M&A Project Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and other strategic transactions we do from time to time. You’ll be responsible for the planning, working with and execution of post-merger integration (PMI) projects and for their successful delivery. You’ll be a pro-active project manager and a team player who is able to work with all functions across Causeway to help deliver key integration objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take responsibility for delivering. You will be required to work closely with all Causeway functions who have a diverse set of personalities and will need to form strong relationships to drive a shared objective. The role is a crucial member of the team to report back to the board on the progress of the business we are acquiring, which forms a key part of our growth strategy.
Responsibilities – PMI
* Support the Head of Integration to coordinate end-to-end M&A projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
* Holding ownership of projects and committing to deliver results
* Work with multiple functions and other relevant stakeholders to define and execute the integration delivery approach
* Leveraging project management skills to deliver high quality governance, planning and reporting
* Support the Head of Integration with all the reporting associated with Causeway post-merger requirements.
* Work with the Causeway functions to develop detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation.
* Monitor project progress and address potential risks or delays.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve integration goals.
* Ensure comprehensive handover process and documentation are given to each function post integration period.
* Manage project scope, controls, risks, governance, documentation and change control on all projects.
* Continuously strive for improvement and capture lessons learned post each project.
Key Skills, Experience And Qualifications
* University degree is preferred
* Prince2 practitioner or equivalent project management qualification is required
* Experience and knowledge of project and change management methodologies/tools is a must
* Prior M&A Integration and complex project management experience is desirable
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role, including the delivery of transformation projects and the commercial management of projects
* Willing to travel to locations throughout the UK and if required internationally
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* High-level understanding of all business functions such as Operations, IT, HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills to successfully manage competing demands, with excellent time management and the ability to remain calm and objective under pressure
* You will be bright, self-motivated, adaptable and able to manage high workloads and be quick to learn
* You will be passionate about continuously developing your own knowledge and skills and sharing this with your team and the wider business, for the benefit of others and the organization
