Due to continued growth we are now recruiting for a number of Mechanical Engineers to join our growing team within Naval Engineering. These roles will support activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems, in particular Turbine Design, Valves and Test Rigs. You may also get involved in activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. As a Mechanical Engineer you will execute the design, analysis or evaluation of equipment using engineering principles whilst adhering to business standards and practices as well as product and programme requirements. You will have a thorough and detailed understanding of the project requirements in particular the technical specifications and related standards. You will work within requirements defined by limitations of technical and design authority, communication and security.
As a Mechanical Engineer you will;
1. Develop and design mechanical components and systems (Valves or Test Rigs)
2. Design for manufacture and assembly ensuring the quality of design information supplied for manufacture
3. Prepare technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
