Join a High-Performing Finance Team as Senior Finance Manager
Birmingham, UK | Full-time, Permanent | £55,000–£65,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to make a real impact? A rapidly growing and well-regarded professional services firm in Birmingham is looking for a dynamic Senior Finance Manager to lead financial operations and drive strategic growth.
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the business while collaborating with senior leadership across the Group.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations with precision and speed
* Deliver insightful management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis
* Manage VAT returns and support corporation tax filings with external advisors
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
* Liaise with auditors for year-end requirements
* Champion process improvements and operational efficiencies
* Mentor and develop junior finance team members
* Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence
* Support the evolution of finance systems (transitioning from SAGE to Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central)
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven success in a high-performing finance team
* Strong grasp of UK GAAP, tax compliance, and financial regulations
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software
* Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
Desirable Extras:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
* Experience in professional services (loss adjusting, insurance, legal, engineering)
* Process improvement mindset and proactive problem-solving skills

Salary & Perks
* £55,000–£65,000 per annum (DOE)
