Agile, Waterfall, QA, Quality Assurance, ERP, SaaS, Cloud, Data Migration, Our client, a well-respected public sector organisation has a new opportunity for a Test Manager to develop, own and manage the QA and Test function for all IT services and products across the organisation. Remit will entail establishing the testing team foundation from scratch, developing and owning Testing and QA strategies and polices, the development and management of end to end testing processes, the management of all testing activities ensuring that the right test tools are selected and used appropriately, the management of the test team including budget management, and ongoing relationship management with other key IT functions including Architecture, 3rd party suppliers and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of Test Management gained in a mid to large size organisation entailing planning, managing and delivering testing and QA for programmes of work involving a complex ecosystem of systems, technologies and 3rd party suppliers. A high proportion of systems and products are provided by 3rd parties and as such there will be an onus on UAT and working with stakeholders across the organisation. Some solutions are also developed inhouse to both Waterfall and Agile methodologies and naturally this will require a broader testing scope. You will have proven experience across complex IT environments and interdependencies including ERP, SaaS solutions, Cloud, Virtualisation, Data Migration etc and have well developed test team management skills including the matrix management of multi-disciplined teams and budget management. First class stakeholder management skills are also required. Any previous experience of policing, emergency services and/or public sector environments would be useful but not essential. Starting salary: £51,109-£52,238 plus a very competitive employer pension contribution. Our client operates a hybrid approach to working, with 2 -3 days per week on site required.
