Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
Galemire Vets in Cumbria is seeking a dedicated and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.
Overview
The role offers a 40-hour workweek, spread across five days (Monday to Friday), with no out-of-hours or on-call duties. We are open to discussing flexible working options.
What you'll do
* Provide high-quality nursing care to animals, assist with surgeries, diagnostic procedures, and treatments under the guidance of veterinarians.
* Monitor and care for hospitalised patients, administer medications, and ensure their well-being during their stay.
* Educate pet owners on treatment plans, post-operative care, and preventative health measures.
* Support veterinarians during consultations by taking medical histories and performing clinical assessments.
* Collect and process laboratory samples, maintain accurate patient records, and respond to emergencies with immediate nursing care.

Galemire Vets is a well-established practice with a branch in Workington, serving the community since 1966. Our modern facility features digital x-ray, ultrasound, and multiparameter monitoring to ensure high-quality care. We are located near the Western Lakeland Fells and Solway Coast, a short drive from Whitehaven. Accommodation options are available for relocating candidates.
