Job Description:
Stanton House is recruiting for an Interim Financial Controls Manager to join a Logistics Business in Derbyshire on a 12-month Contract offering £450-550 per day inside IR35. This hybrid role works 3 days in their Derbyshire office and the rest from home.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Finance team to develop and implement a structured process for monitoring and reporting on PCI (Payment Card Information) compliance controls
* Test and oversee the effectiveness of first-line PCI controls, engaging with control operators and reporting on compliance status
* Partner with control owners to remediate any identified control deficiencies
* Conduct monthly sample testing of high-risk financial controls, including: Purchase Order (PO) accruals, IFRS 16 lease accounting, Intercompany transactions
* Perform in-depth reviews of known control weaknesses as required
* Reviews of balance sheet reconciliations for quality, completeness and adherence to RM BS rec standards
* Support Compliance & Ethics reviews and related financial analysis within the Finance function as needed
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
* Qualified or Part Qualified accountant
* Experience of operating or testing financial controls in either an external audit, internal audit or consulting environment would be beneficial.
* Prior PCI knowledge not essential but beneficial.
* Quick to learn new processes, systems etc. Creative and innovative problem solver
* Able to perform under pressure, especially during year-end deadlines.
* Confident in making judgments with limited or incomplete data.
* Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
* Experienced in improving financial control processes.
* Clear communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong Excel skills and SAP experience is a plus.
