This role has a starting salary of £47,142 per annum, for working 36 hours per week. This is a 12-month fixed term / secondment opportunity.

We have a great secondment opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to join our fantastic Analysis and Evaluation team. We support hybrid working with the right balance and come together at regular intervals for collaborative work, support working from home the rest of the time.

About the Role

Analysis and Evaluation are a team tasked with developing insight and intelligence to inform commissioning decisions and other strategic work in CFLL. We collaborate closely with colleagues across a variety of areas, including Corporate Parenting, Education and SEND, Family Resilience, Domestic Abuse, Children with Disabilities, Young Carers, Early Years and more, using tools such as SQL, Tableau and FME to develop creative solutions to important data problems. No two days are the same – our work takes us to new and different challenges as we contribute to CFLL more effective and efficient in the use of its resources.

As a Senior Analyst you will be a key member of our team, overseeing reporting in the following areas:

10. Children with Disabilities
11. Transitioning to Adulthood
12. Family Resilience / Young Carers
13. Domestic Abuse

The work you do will be both challenging and immensely valuable, contributing directly to improving our services for children, families and survivors of domestic abuse while maintaining financial sustainability. While reporting in some of these areas is well established, you will be required to query new data sources and develop new reports that support decision making by blending data from a variety of sources. In some of these spaces you will work collaboratively with colleagues outside of CFLL, giving you opportunities to grow your knowledge and skills in highly transferable ways.

Your ability to query, blend, and analyse data as well as present insights in engaging and interactive ways will be vital in shaping the future of our programs, especially as we engage with Local Government Reform and what it means for our services and our residents.

This role requires highly developed technical skills, which you will use not only for the development of your own work but to support other team members in developing data-driven solutions.

Your Application

In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with

14. Experience and knowledge of data preparation and data visualisation tools, preferably those used in CFLL (e.g. SQL, FME, Tableau)
15. An understanding of data pipelines, preferably with a track record of advising on how systems can be modified to achieve more accurate / detailed reporting
16. Proven track record of effective communication and collaboration with senior managers and partners to achieve successful outcomes
17. Demonstrated ability to provide effective supervision, guidance, and support to a team
18. A genuine passion for making a positive impact, particularly for vulnerable individuals
