About the opportunity
Our Mobile Dispensing Opticians play a key role in providing crucial clinical support in stores for regulated dispensing. You will work closely with a Mobile Optometrist to ensure a seamless patient journey from chair to dispense.
Key responsibilities include: Role model, lead, and deliver exceptional care, supporting patients and customers in making appropriate choices regarding optical and healthcare products and services.
Work flexibly across the opticians area according to business needs, continually developing knowledge to serve patients and customers effectively.
Provide expert knowledge for patients with more specialized requirements.
Deliver complete healthcare solutions, coaching team members and collaborating with Healthcare teams for integrated care.
Supervise development, education, and training of colleagues, including mentoring students such as Student Dispensing Opticians.
Ensure compliance with practice standards, Boots Opticians policies, and SOPs.
Support the team to deliver efficient operational processes, ensuring legal and safe trading.
Participate in store leadership meetings to maintain high clinical standards and patient safety.
Embrace and promote digital tools and technology in customer interactions.
Travel to various stores within the area as required.
About you
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
Registration with the General Optical Council (GOC).
Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders including store and area leaders, peers, and external professionals.
High clinical standards and professionalism.
A commitment to delivering our Healthcare Ambition, becoming the first choice for patients' dispensing needs.
Ongoing learning and development, including CET training as per GOC requirements.
Digital proficiency and comfort with new technology.
