Route Services
is a division of Network Rail that provides the Routes with services so they can help Network Rail deliver a better railway for a better Britain. We support the Routes with a myriad of services and supplies they need to maintain and operate the railway. See the diagram for a breakdown of our services. This role sits within
Supply Chain Operations (SCO)
, an area of the business which supplies and delivers the logistics, materials, components, rail and road fleet that enable the maintenance and renewal of the railway.

About The Role (External)
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing Capacity and Capability data in line with relevant standards and work instructions. You'll also ensure that this data is accurately provided to support both internal and external systems and processes.
Key accountabilities include:
* Deliver an efficient and effective Capacity and Capability data management service.
* Collate and monitor the quality of Capacity and Capability data received against specified requirements; liaise with data providers to resolve data and quality shortfalls.
* Maintain and update Capacity and Capability data in the appropriate core systems and libraries, in accordance with applicable standards and work instructions.
* Undertake the provision of Capacity and Capability data as required by other corporate and third party systems and processes, maintaining synchronisation between systems.
* Maintain accurate records of data provision, data maintenance and other activities and assist in the preparation of data assurance and other management information reports.
* Support the development and delivery of specific data improvement activities, and process and system enhancements.
* Liaise with managers, customers and stakeholders as required to undertake accountabilities.
* Supply updates made to the Sectional Appendices to the National Publications team to enable the Periodical Operating Notices, supplements and Weekly Operating Notices to be generated.
* Assist with other activities of the Capacity and Capability data management team as required.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following criteria:
Essential
* GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
* Good communication and analytical skills.
* Previous experience in data management activates.
* Proven ability to work systematically and meet deadlines.
Desirable
* Knowledge of computer systems related to infrastructure asset data.
* Knowledge of Capacity and Capability data relevant to the GB railway.
* Good knowledge of railway geography and operations.

This role is a 12 month fixed-term contract / secondment post with thepotential to extend or become permanent (unless a suitable redeployee is identified).

Location:
This position is based at The Quadrant: MK (minimum 3 days per week in the office).
Hours:
35 hours per week with hybrid working and travel as required. Flexible working and job shares can be considered.
Salary range:
£23,758 to £27,388 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
