JOB – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION – Glasgow
TERM – Permanent
SALARY - £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client designs and delivers fire services to commercial and domestic clients. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.
The Fire & Security Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar ideally in Mechanical Engineering
* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role would be preferred
* 3D CAD Design Experience in the fire industry
* Mechanical / electrical Installation experience would be beneficial
* Be a hands-on, practical engineer
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Be a team player with a positive attitude
* Be a mentor to junior/graduate engineers
* Have a full UK driving licence
The Fire & Security Engineer role will involve:
* Hands-on servicing, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems
* Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
* Working within a small team to deliver a quality service to customers
* Travelling to and from customer sites for around 2 hours a day
* Occasional further travel in the UK e.g. to Scotland or Wales
